Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
7:30 AM - 8:00 AM: Your private driver-guide picks you up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and briefs you on the trip.
8:00 AM: Depart Nairobi for the approximately 4-hour drive to Amboseli National Park. Enjoy views of the Athi Plains along the way.
12:00 PM: Arrive at your chosen lodge or camp in Amboseli, check in, and have lunch.
3:30 PM: Embark on your first afternoon game drive in the park, with opportunities to see elephants and other wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.
6:30 PM: Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
6:15 AM: Start the day with an early morning pre-breakfast game drive until around 9:00 AM, the best time to spot animals when they are most active.
9:00 AM: Return to the lodge for a full breakfast and some rest.
After breakfast: You have two options:
Option A (Morning and Afternoon Drives): Take another game drive in the morning or enjoy lodge facilities like a swimming pool.
Option B (Full-Day Drive): Go on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. This allows for more time to explore and search for wildlife without returning to the lodge between drives.
Afternoon: A second game drive is scheduled for the late afternoon (from approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM).
6:30 PM: Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Amboseli to Nairobi
6:30 AM: Enjoy one last early morning game drive to catch wildlife during the cooler hours.
8:30 AM: Return to the lodge for a final breakfast.
10:30 AM: Check out from the lodge and begin your drive back to Nairobi. You can enjoy one last game drive as you exit the park.
1:30 PM: Arrive in Nairobi, with lunch served en route.
2:30 PM: Drop off at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
